Model Highlights
The 2008 Suzuki SX4 comes in two distinct body styles--the popular hatchback crossover with standard three-mode intelligent all-wheel drive (iAWD), and a new sedan called the Sport. Each is powered by Suzuki's all-aluminum 143-horsepower 2.0L I4 and comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission. A four-speed automatic is optional. Both the base hatchback and sedan share some good standard features, including a height adjustable steering wheel, air conditioning, keyless entry, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. In addition to iAWD, standard features unique to the five-door are 16-inch aluminum wheels, black roof rails, rear wiper/washer, black fender flares, front and rear brush plates, a 50/50 split tumble and fold-down rear seat, and a Sunlight Copper Metallic exterior color. The Sport's unique standard features include 17-inch aluminum wheels, an aero body kit, and a special Cherry Red Metallic exterior color. Add the Convenience Package to either car and you get a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, automatic climate control, cruise control, and heated mirrors. The Touring Package on either body style adds SmartPass keyless entry and start, sport pedals, fog lamps, a rear spoiler, and electronic stability and traction controls. Both base and Convenience SX4s come with an XM-ready CD stereo with MP3/WMA playback, while the Touring adds five speakers, including a subwoofer, and a CD changer. Standard safety features across the lineup include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, dual-stage driver and weight-sensing passenger air bags, front seat-mounted side impact air bags, side curtain air bags front and rear, daytime running lights, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
